Getting to know you.

Went out last night and had just the best time! Janelle invited me out which was awesome of her. I love meeting new people (especially ladies, cause there are just not enough good ones worth hanging out with). The band was great. They are sadly only playing one more show, and this is the greatest thing, because they are all graduating from UC Davis to go on to bigger or better things. While I was out last night I took a look around me and briefly noticed something about some of the females around me. Half them looks like they were so concerned with how they looked while they danced. Instantly I decided to dance to my hearts content as retarded and foolish looking as I may have been! As a result of this decision I came to the very real fact that I am (you may need to sit down) in love. Yes, I knew the feelings were always there and that they were strong and very passionate. This is the first time I am discovering this.... I am crazy in love with DANCING! Its that healthy kind of love though I promise. No addiction here. I think I need to learn how to do all kinds of dance and dance for fun on a much more regular basis. I have to say that my immense enjoyment of last night had to do with being around some really friggin cool chicks! I feel that more so with this break up I am finding myself more interested and aware of connections that take place between women. Its so important to have those. Much more important than our connections with men.

The lovely Miss Boob Nazi is having a giveaway in celebration of her 1000th post! Thats a heck of a lot of posts! Go check it out, if anything, check it out because this girl is HILARIOUS  and inspirational all in one fell swoop!

Well, here is some Formspring questions. I don't know if Sunday is going to be "Formspring day" maybe every other since I don't get very many questions. I guess I am not so mysterious! haha. How was your weekend? What did you do? Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Ready to kick into the next week? I sure am! The weather is going to be fantastic too!

Why do you sometimes hate your tattoos?

I think after the years of hiding them for jobs, being treated like a criminal/leper it started wearing on my opinion of them. Also, sometimes I look back on pre-tattoo pictures and I had beautiful skin. And I may have placed them differently (only done 3/4 sleeves and no chest piece) or don't like the design or quality of some of them. Good question!

If you could change ONE thing about yourself, physically or otherwise, what would it be?

I would love to have smaller boobs. Honestly. I was teased a lot as a kid, accused of "stuffing" or what not. Which resulted in bad posture which resulted in scoliosis and horrible back problems. It's muh root.

What are 5 mundane things that can happen in a day that will make you totally happy? by nickdillinger

That is darn good! Hmmm, Having coffee with a friend, getting a call from a good friend, a new dress, getting math problems right, discovering a good new song.

What was the last book you read?

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

Would you rather swim in a pool or the ocean?

If the ocean is cold I would rather the pool.

What was your favorite toy to play with as a child?

Carebear. Brave heart to be exact.

Protest like its 1968!

Finally my post about Thursday!
So I went to school even though I really wanted to stay home and rest some more.
Poli Sci wasn't so bad.  Before I got to class though my friend Bobby texted me asking if I wanted to go to CA History Museum because it was free. Of course I did! History and free?! I got my test from last week handed back. I thought the multiple choice was what would save me, I didn't really know how to answer the short answers, but the short answers are what saved me! So weird. I will have to take that into consideration for this next text on Thursday. My professor mentioned that if we wondered why there weren't a lot of people in class today there was a protest at the capital over the UC and CSU fee hikes and cuts. I looked behind me (I'm the nerd that always sits up front) and sure enough hardly anyone was in class.

So I meet up with Bobby and start walking to the museum (he only lives 2 blocks from it and the capital). I said "wait!" and told him about the protest that we should go check it out! We walked over to the capital and we didn't see anything. Then we heard a loud collective "yeeeaaah!" so we walked around to the other side to be greeted by this

We stuck around for awhile and I noticed a lady with a microphone that said "Cap Radio". I got all giddy and told bobby I listen to that and that it was basically NPR. The lady noticed my excitement and asked if she could interview me. Of course I said yes!!

I was terribly eloquent and said exactly want I wished everyone would hear. Especially that I was disappointed that they would protest and get momentum and then stop protesting due to whatever reason. Its important to maintain a presence so people are forced to look at whats going on. Just like students from 1968, Davis students even got pepper spray shot at them for trying to march on interstate 80! I was also able to tell my hellish story of how my semester began trying to get classes and such and my disappointment in not seeing community colleges represented when they are being hit just as hard as the UC/CSU's. I decided I am going to get as invovled in this cause as possible. Not much about this economy has effect me or my peers until now. I intend on doing something about it!

Then we went to the museum. Ate in the cafeteria which wasn't that bad and started walking around.
Indiana Jones' Jacket and whip! I was so excited. AAAnd it was worn in my favorite movie The Last Crusade!

Then while we were checking out Eames stuff upstairs we noticed a rustle downstairs. We walked down there to check it out and I noticed in the middle of a circle of people was Maria Shriver!! Our first lady! I was like Whoa! Its a famous person (I never really see these, you'd think different because I live in CA, but no.). She was there speaking for the Minerva people about women folk.
So we go out to the courtyard and grab us some real estate to watch her speak.
Well the moment I look back at the stage I notice him! Arnold Shwartzenegger!! He wasn't as short looking as I had been told. That, or Mrs. Governor was wearing kitten heels for a reason.

I swear we were closer than this. Bobby's iphone needs to have a warning that says "objects may appear smaller." I didn't understand much of what they said. The acoustics were terrible. They had a ton of military there...ah hem...women folk in the military I mean. Tons of free stuff (Bobby was more than excited about that!). I had so much fun! A very noteworthy day.
Then yesterday I went to coffee with Bobby, he helped out a bunch with my math (thaaanks again!!). The mess of help with math is another post entirely (I wont write about you! oops just did in a round about way). I got a bunch done which is good. It's nice to have someone to joke around with and talk with about random things.
Did I mention I need an iphone? This was taken with one.

Its a new look for me. How do you like it?

Welcome followers. Thanks for adding. Looks like I have some goodies to put together for my first giveaway! Stay tuned! Today I plan on doing as much math as possible and resting. I am hell bent on starting this next week back in the gym! I can't go any longer! I also met a girl through school who invited me to go to a show tonight. I haven't been to a show in forever! I am really excited! She is a really nice girl and its neat making new friends. We have a lot in common (shot out!) haha.

Curse you J.Crew!!

Never in a million years would I have thought me; tattooed, ex-punk rock kid would be lusting over J.Crew. If loving their clothes and accessories is wrong, then I don't wanna be right!!!

I've been looking for a maxi dress that is simple. This one is lovely. Do you guys know of any places that have really simple starter maxi dresses?

On sale. This will be mine. I got plans for you my sweet!

Dying!!!!

Now, I lusted after this jacket in the store. It's on sale. MINE!

Mine.

I really like these.

I want to limit the pants I own. Black, kaki, ankle, and maybe 3 pairs of jeans (trouser, boyfriend, straight...maaaybe something that will fit into boots like a toothpick. I am going to go hit the corner of Stockton and start working so I can buy up that store. Be back in a week.

Mr. Blue Sky

Today was great. Ok, now that I've taken care of that lets get to the juicy stuff.
I really wasn't sure if I was going to make it to ballet today I am still pretty stuffed up and coughing a bunch. French was out of the question.
I hauled myself out of bed and made it to school regardless.
I got a parking spot relatively easy (It usually takes close to an hour). It was pouring rain which was fun until I realized I had quite a walk with no umbrella.
I read and listened to music in my car while I waited for 10:20 to roll around. Everything was great, until a coughing attack hit me!
I coughed so much and so hard I puked (eww I know I know)! Of course as usual when this happens I felt so much better!
So I walked into class. We always start on the barre which is really low impact equals minimal coughing.
Then we did a bunch of floor stuff. It was so much fun! I broke a sweat and desperately needed to blow my nose from getting so worked up. But sweating felt really good. We did a bunch of changments which was fun. I think I need to get a better sports bra if we are going to be doing anymore jumping around.
big boobs+ballet= heavy duty strap em down sports bra indeed! (anyone have any suggestions? Maybe one of you has previous dance experience?)
I don't know what it is about ballet but every time I get out of class I feel super confident! I am not sure what it is. I am not amazingly good or anything, my turn out needs work! The vibe in that class is just so amazing (despite two cliques of girls, whom both drive me up the WALL! one girl was listening to rap so loud in the middle of us doing our barre exercises she distracted all of us and was told to turn it off!)
By the time I got out of class the rain had completely cleared and it was blue skies! I was not in the mood to go back into my sick people cave with weather like that! So I did the unthinkable! I ate out all by myself for the first time in my life! It was nice. I didn't have to rush. I read my political science text book some. I will most likely be doing it more often.
I came home and took a fabulous bath while listening to classical on Pandora Radio. It was so relaxing! When I was younger hardcore and punk used to relax me and now classical does?! What?! I am only 24 years old and I feel so old! But classical is so good and relaxing. I swear! I wouldn't mind getting old if I had a few things I had hope to have by this age. Poo!
Anyway the day was topped off by talking with my friend Erin and we decided to hit up a knitting group sunday morning/afternoon. Netflix brought me Ghost Whisperer making for an entertained evening.
I hope that maybe this is the kick off for some really great times here on out. The future is bright baby, and I'm wearin' shades! Now for the new Alcatraz episode of Ghost Hunters. Woo hoo!
How was your day? Anything noteworthy?

What I wore today (I'd say it was pretty cute!):

Headlessss!

Good air, retarded arms.

Contemplative...and BORED!

Sometimes I wonder if I am spending too much time trying to fit in. It's possible. I spent most my life being on the fringe. I was never "popular", I didn't really stay in high school long even (I got out beginning of junior year and before that I did charter school essentially home school). I feel I censor some of the things I write because I don't want people to "not like me". Really? I didn't make a blog to make friends. I am one of the many who used to have a Livejournal. I like journaling with the added bonus of maybe "meeting" some really neat people into the same stuff (or not) as I am.

I feel like I maybe haven't really done anything for people to get to know me. I decree from here on out that I will write for myself even that much more! Because I am a virgo and apparently virgo's list like crazy.
I:
Love cats, but I'm not a cat lady...yet.

Am too smart for my own britches as my granny would say.

Am terrified of snakes and spiders. Even the mention of them evoke fear in me.

Can be a total hypochondriac. Its really irritating and I try not to let it get it me.

Don't think I ever do or say the right things

Have an addiction to goat cheese.

watch horrible television, and love it! (Ghost Whisperer, Little Miss Perfect, too much History Channel)

Use my photobooth waaay too much. Observe:
These were taken in the past 2 days. And there is more.
Tendency to obsess over things (ie. learning to dance ballet, having adorable style/dresses). So what if I want to be the best I can be (or so I tell myself).

My favorite colors are baby blue, yellow, purple, and kelly green.

I waver from completely hating my tattoos (I have even done a bunch of research about removal) to just not caring.

I can't think of anymore. But I have a form spring. If you can think of questions to get to know me better do ask!
